Taco Tuesday Party, November 8th?

I took Election Day off work, on the grounds that there was no way in hell I was going to be trapped in a room with someone I needed to be professionally polite to who was watching the returns on Fox News. Also, I like tacos.

If I held an election party with tacos, would anyone come? I realize that it's a school night, but I could make a little taco buffet, and we have a rather nice flat screen television, and really good wireless internets. This does require, you know, cleaning. Also, the tv is in the cat accessible portion of the house, so if you're hugely allergic to cats, that will be a problem. But I kind of think I'd appreciate some hand-holding come the day.

I'm also thinking margaritas.

However, based on the last 48 hours, this may be a particularly hard winter for me so you really shouldn't plan on me being there ... especially if there are likely to be lots of (loud) people.

A smaller gathering at another time would be more likely.

i am sorry your brain weather forecast is dire. While I don't think I'm likely to get lots of people, what with it being a school night, it may still exceed your tolerance. It would be nice for you to come over some other time, though, and pet Lady Jane Grey, who is underpetted, and tells me so every time I go into the kitchen.

Cats don't limit one's social life as much as smoking does, but it does present challenges.

I can't fetch and carry Nate, as I will be busy hosting. He does seem to be doing better than he was a year ago. That, that was scary.

Nate is doing MUCH better than he was a year ago. The hostess shouldn't have to fetch him, but I hope he would be welcome if somebody else took care of the transportation.
