Internet stranger but: I assume it's a reference to For The Fallen by Laurence Binyon, the middle stanza of which is included in at least all Canadian Remembrance Day ceremonies as a ritual utterance:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
