Plague Diary: In Which I Am an Incrementalist

 Things which have improved:

- My right hand is no longer swollen

- I can now use my right hand to hold and carry things, and to grip bottles to open, if the lid is not too tight

- I can now remove my sling, wash my arm, powder it, and replace my sling without assistance

- I can raise my right am at the elbow a little

- Without the sling, my right arm can bear the weight oh a bath towel for short periods of time

- There is less pain

- The spectacular bruise in my right upper arm (running from 3 inches below the shoulder to the elbow) is now more yellow and orange and less black and purple

- I am much better at using my left hand, especially for hunt-and-peck typing

All that said, things still hurt, I still need assistance showering, and basic shit is hard.

I'm so sorry! Elise mentioned that you had gotten hurt on her call a few days back. Anything useful we can drop off or email over?

Those all sound like measurable progress toward the reasonable goals, so I approve!

I live in little goals..
just one more row
other times its just one more stitch.
nothing like injuring just one finger on my right hand
to tell me how much my left hand does not do .
the thumb seemed to whimp out in solidarity
with the finger?

wonder if you write up the story
and give it to the social worker at the hospital.
How you moved your household
to accept a job in their fair city~all on your ownsome.
then had to go into quarantine from getting exposed
at the clinic checking you out for covid for the job,
paying for the apartment with no job... then
your bike hit a bump while exploring fair city
and getting broken, now you've lost the job
helping people in their fair city
and have bills you need to cover from getting broken
in their fair city
is the any way they can help you
pay the Dr. bills? or reduce them to under-employed
sleep tech budget of no money coming in?
