So I did it
Jun. 7th, 2010 09:45 pmI bought a car today. A 1998 Subaru Forester, white. It seems like a pretty good car, for something that's got 187,000 miles on it. The brake rotars are bend or something, so it acts a little weird on braking, but nothing threatening safety. It will cost $300 to $500 to fix, but doesn't need to be done right away. The car itself was $3000, with another $300 or so in taxes and fees. And then there was the insurance, which was $1000 for six months. I better get a job fast, as I can't afford to pay for insurance again. Hell, I can't afford to pay for anything, just at the moment. I've used up most of my money. But now I have a way to get to the testing center to take my boards, and a way to get to work when I finally find a job.
So, yay me. I really hate buying things. I'm glad it's over.
