Ice thaws, but is not broken
May. 21st, 2013 10:19 amArwen has never, in her entire life, been this upset with me. It's really quite disconcerting.
Just now, she got up on the bed. I had put a step-stool there to make it easier. Three times, she came close enough for me to pet her briefly and tell her that she was wonderful and beautiful. Each time, she looked at my lap like she was considering getting into it. But each time, she looked at the little kittens who were romping in the window with each other (teeny, tiny, terrifying kittens) and decided to retreat. I don't know if she would have settled in if there had not been tttk. But she didn't.
I miss my cat. On the other hand, she is pretty much acting exactly like herself, and she is moving pretty spryly, so that's all good.
The vet's office said that they hoped they would have results on the lumpectomy next week. So, there's that.
Meanwhile, I'll have to continue to court my own damn cat.
