With so many other people putting up links to Fourth Street Fantasy Convention, I suppose I ought to, too. I am, after all, the chair. It'll be our first year back in ten years, and the tenth Fourth Street Fantasy Con, so it'll be very ten-like. It'll be fun. Everyone should come. Come and hang out with Elizabeth Bear and Sarah Monette and Will Shetterly and Emma Bull and Pamela Dean and Pat Wrede and Patrick and Teresa Neilsen Hayden and lots of other people. Don't forget the Lioness Elise will be hosting a very special party on Friday night with readings and necklace reunions and twinkly little foods. At least, that's how she's described it to me. I'd so much rather worry about Fourth Street than school, which is why I'm doing so. School is dreadful. I hate all my classes, and just at the moment all of them are being difficult. Intercultural Communications, which is usually too easy, has a big test coming up on Tuesday. It's the only test she's given and she came up with this fascinating way to create a test. She divided the class into five groups at the beginning of the semester. Then she told us that we needed to create three questions per chapter of the book and three questions per lecture. About now, we were to bring in all these questions in hard copy and hand them out to our classmates. She will choose which questions to ask on the test from these gazillion questions. Fortunately, 2 of the groups didn't hand their questions in, so that's somewhat less to memorize. The quality of the questions is...erratic. But I've made up more than 200 cards, I think, on 3x5 card for each question. I have them winnowed down to the ones I have no hope of answering and hope to manage to commit them to memory before Tuesday. However, I also have to study for a quiz on Tuesday in Lifespan Psychology (which I dislike), and tear out the heart of an essay that I'm writing and rewrite it and submit it by midnight on Tuesday. I'm totally not liking Tuesday, here. So worrying about something a little farther away than Tuesday is a comfort.

So worrying about something a little farther away than Tuesday is a comfort.Ook. Even coming at the end of your test info, I still jumped to the PA political vote on Tuesday when I read this. I guess it will be a big day for all of us. Hope yours goes well. (And Hillary wins PA by 17.)

Thanks for the reminder on 4th Street. I kinda knew, the restart was why I was digging for the old bank stuff after all, but it didn't translate into: where can we find the money for this?
