My waterbed has sprung a leak. Actually, it's an old leak that's reactivated. The patch came right off. My old leak kit has run out of glue. I still have vinyl, but no vinyl glue. Anybody know where one might find such a thing? It's not like there are Waterbedroom Stores anymore.

There was this "patch" material that came with DDB's more modern waterbed. It was like cellophane with a sticky side. We tried it, but it came right off. It didn't look real durable, anyway. Too flimsy.

I don't know what caused the patch to give. This is the first time this has every happened. I've had leaks before, but the patches were always more than adequate.

My go-to guy for waterbed repair questions is [livejournal.com profile] polyfrog in such undying prose as this.

K. [sadly he lives in Chicago, but he is a clever guy and can surely advise]

I have a tube of the patch goo. When I tried using it to affix a patch to the bed, it didn't stay, but it said that the goo alone could be used to patch pinhole holes, and that worked for me.

If you want to borrow it, you can. But you can also buy them online. Mine is Blue Magic brand.
