She still makes me smile every day

So, for the last three days, when I get home from work, Arwen has got up on the bed with me to cuddle and purr. Also, to growl and hiss at the little black kittens. I think she is trying to persuade them that my bed is her personal territory. This is not working. On Monday, she was snuggled up against my side, purring, and suddenly noticed that Ninja had curled up at the foot of the bed. He'd been there for quite some time, and hadn't moved, but all of a sudden she noticed, hissed, and fled the scene. Each day she's spent longer with me. Today, she hopped up on the bed and spent time with me three or four times, including lying on my left side with her head resting on my shoulder, purring and purring. I'm so very happy that she's back to being snuggly with me upstairs.

Just at the moment, I'm down on DDB's bed. Arwen left when the kittens arrived, but has just come back. Ninja is sitting in my lap, and Nuit is at the foot of the bed. Arwen is sitting to my left side. She is not hissing or growling. She's not entirely happy about the damn kittens, but she chose to get up on the bed even though the kittens were already here, and to sit by my knee in a companionable fashion.

And, you know, she still makes me smile every day.

She is really the best Arwen-girl out of all the Arwen-girls.

I think I dreamed about your cat last night! Anyway, there was a cat in my dream that looked exactly like the one in your icon. It was a boy cat, though. At some point the cat was sitting in my lap and I was petting it (something I would never do in real life because of flying cat dander). Even in the dream I wondered why I was petting a cat and was surprised how good it felt.

From what I have gleaned from my sister-inlaw, who has not had less than 10 cats in the last 15 years or so, this is 'A Very Good Sign" (TM).

I am thinking Arwen is stedfast in her disapproval of KITTENS (!!!). As the new cats become less kittens and more cats Arwen should get more relaxed on the subject. (I hope)
