Just dyed my hair
Sep. 10th, 2004 01:08 amI'm not precisely sure what color it's going to be. The henna is several years old. It used to be "bright red" but when I mixed it up, it looked very dark chocolate brown, rather than the more familiar olive green, and I'm not seeing the red highlights in my wet locks as I usually do, so maybe I dyed it black. Black would be ok. I always wanted to have thick, black hair that went down to my knees. Straight, thick black hair, not this vaguely recalcitrant, curly mess that I've got now. Hopefully, regardless of the color, it will do that keen strengthening and conditioning thing that it does for hair. My hair really needs something right about now. It's feeling a bit old and brittle.
Most of the rest of everything is improving. The job is better, the finances are better, I just got a really, _really_ big fish tank (which I have to get moved tomorrow and haven't finished making arrangements to do so, yet...), and I'm not under indictment for anything. Actually, I never have been. I suppose it would be a learning experience, but I'm not interested in performing the experiment.
Remember where I kept on complaining that I needed a couple more hours in my day? Well, working 75% time does, indeed, give me that. I adore these hours -- provided that they come with insurance, which they do, so far.
So, as long as my hair doesn't turn green, things seem to be ok until November. After the election, well, I may or may not be doing so good.
