Date: 2005-07-20 04:51 am (UTC)I've always liked the way technical speech sounds when taken out of context. I used to work for the Bone Marrow Clinic. Patients with breast cancer were, of course, referred to as breasts, which led to such colorful statements as, "I can't believe how many breasts we've got! I've got breasts coming out of the walls." Or, almost as good, " Jane can't be in that day. Do you suppose John could handle the breast?"
