So, quarantining does strange things to us all.  I was supposed to do the bills, but it's all very cluttered over where I keep the file box that has the bills, and the file box is cluttered, and right next to it is an end table, and then in the other direction is a white rolly thing with three drawers that has a not-insignificant portion of my craft supplies. So, well, it would be so much easier to pay the bills if I dealt with the clutter, but the end table is just so cluttered that there's no where to stack things and then the drawers to the end table were just too much of too much.  So, I did the drawers, the file box, took out some trash, and sorted the craft rolly drawers.

I find that I have rather a lot of knitting needles. Which, you know, is fine, given that I knit and such like.  But I recently acquired, (in part due to the generosity of a birthday gift from [personal profile] carbonel  ) a really, really nice set of interchangeable knitting needles.  (Chiagoo, if you care.)  So, I really don't need my straight needles anymore.  I love my Chiagoos, and I just don't see me ever using my straights again.  And, then, too, I have a cache of circulars that, again, I am never going to use.  So, friends who are knitters and poor, or friends who want to start knitting and don't have supplies. or, well, pretty much anybody else:  I would like to give these away.  I will cheerfully post them to you by whatever means is cheapest.  If you want to give back, I'd appreciate it if you would donate to RAICES or another immigrant support group.  The immigration crisis is growing worse, even if the news isn't covering it at the moment.

Here is a list of what I I really don't need anymore.  You can make a comment, send a PM,  or send me email at lydy@demesne.com.  I will need your snail mail addy, so don't post that to the internets unless you don't care who sees it.

I only listed metric where it was listed on the needle, since American sizes and metric...are occasionally variant.  I did not list the color of the needles, although maybe I should have.  Sorry.  And I have absolutely no idea why I have so many size 9 needles.

And here are the circs.

Where it says "no package" I have used size guide to determine size.  There are two sets where the cable is pretty funky, and in neither case would I do lace knitting on them because of the cable.  Most of the needles are in their original packet, because that was the easiest way to keep them semi-organized.

In this case, I do know why I had so many size 9 circulars...I was making an afghan in the round.  The Yggdrasil afghan, you can look at it on my Ravelry page, if you care to.  Along with my copious notes, most of which are complaints and whining.

I also have a pair of Size 6 (4mm) Knitter's Pride Karbonz interchangeable needles and a 49" (100cm) cable.  These were an experiment, but I decided I vastly preferred the Chiagoo, although honestly, the Karbonz tips are really nice.

I also have three aluminum DPNs, 7", size 3.  I never use DPNs in numbers less than 5, and I have no idea where the other two are.

I have a packet of a dozen crochet hooks in wood that I foolishly bought for almost no money from Wish.  The sized are labeled, and the look...ok?  But I will never use them.

Finally, I have some random single straight needles that I think I should probably just throw away.   I cannot think of a good thing to do with them.

I also have a small excess of random knitting toys, including yarn needles, stitch markers, and row counters.  Should you happen to be in need of something like that, ask me.

In conclusion, I have apparently spent a LOT of money on knitting needles over the years.  Most of the straights are things I got used or were given, but most of the circulars I bought myself with cash money.

Oh, and yes, I did get the bills paid.

Irene would love to have the bamboo and wood needles - both straight & circular.

Thanks!

Yes, she does also want the Dreamz. I was watching when she looked up exactly what they were to verify her memory, and it was after that that she said all of the bamboo or wood needles.
