Plague Diary, In Which I Report That We Are OK

Things are bad, here.  You've seen the news.  They burnt businesses a block north and block east of here.  One of the impressive confrontations featured on CNN last night is six blocks north and one block east of here, in the parking lot of my usual stationary store.

We are safe.  As a family, we have decided to shelter in place, but have an evacuation plan.  Four humans, five cats, three vehicles.  It's...logistically complex, but possible.

I just want to point out, I know that the news makes it look like Minneapolis is a war zone.  It's not.  It's so many people coming together and helping out, grieving together, cleaning up the mess.  It only looks like a war zone when the cops show up.  I am not afraid of my neighbors.  I am terrified of the cops.
