That I am so very much enjoying crocheting, again. I knew I would. But, man is it nice to be back to a place where that's possible, again.
Otherwise known as "stupid brains are stupid, and mine is stupider than most." I mean it's been literally years since I've been able to work on anything, and it's a very real, visceral pleasure. Forgoing it has made absolutely no sense at all. And yet. And yet. Stupid brains are stupid.
I am possibly the only crafter I know that doesn't have numerous unfinished projects. I work on one thing, and I finish it. The problem is that if I don't finish it, I am unable to move onto the next thing. So if the project becomes too difficult, or too boring, or I am unable to find supplies to finish it, I end up just not doing anything. And it take literally years for my brain to finally be willing to move on and start working on something else. This last round was, um, five years, more or less? Stupid brain.
Meanwhile, the new afghan is 2/11ths complete (not counting assembly). Pat Wrede did some emergency pattern help, as I was misreading and misunderstanding the pattern. The colors are working well, the pattern is entertaining and challenging, and when I finish it, perhaps I will figure out a way to post pictures. I'm that happy with it.
