Why Health Insurance Is Vital
Mar. 6th, 2007 12:03 pmFrom my insurance company statement, received yesterday:
Admission Service Date: 1/23/07 - 1/26/07
Total Charges: $9,086.73
As of 2/28/07
Medica Primary and Choice Payment: $8,886.73
Patient Balance: $200
Please note that while I didn't much appreciate all the services provided, say the three nurses and three psych assistants on duty 24/7, the price is not unreasonable. I don't even know what my monthly prescriptions would cost without insurance. Fifteen hundred dollars? Two thousand? I'm one of the reasons why your health care premiums are as high as they are. There is no way in the world that my premiums can cover even a tenth of what I cost.
Thank you.
