Further Adventures in Sleep Medicine
Feb. 27th, 2013 04:28 pmFirst, thank you all for the various bits of advice and help and encouragement.
I talked to my manager this morning and told him what the insurance company said. He said that this didn't sound right, and that it sounded like they were treating it as an inpatient stay. He suggested I talk to our human resources person about this. He also said that it was possible that there might be some sort of employee discount available if it turns out the insurance rep I talked to was accurate.
I talked to human resources, and she said that it didn't sound right, but that she'd check. So, she's checking. All to the good.
If none of that pans out, I'll probably look into some of the resources that Laurel pointed me at for an APAP and a new mask. An APAP would be better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick and all that. But I really would prefer a proper study. (Especially if I can get it done at work, where I can look at it later, which would be terribly cool, you know?)
