Fucking Flu

Didn't I just do this? And, I would like to point out, I got my flu shot this year, so really, WTF?

My boss called today to say we had no patients and how would I like to stay home. I told him I would like that just fine.

This thing started with a sore throat and sneezing. We've now progressed to runny nose, slightly less sneezing, voice sounding like it's blending glass chips but the throat doesn't hurt, and muscle aches. C'mon body, WTF?

So, am now officially sulking. In bed. With no cats, at the moment. Really, don't I at least deserve cats? But they've all gone to hang out with David. Wretched beasts.

Sulk, sulk, sulk.

New symptom. My usual temp is about 97.5, F. Just at the moment, it is 100.4, F. So, about three degrees higher than normal. Another couple tenths and I'll start acting wonky, based on previous experience.

On the other hand, my cat has come to sit with me and purr. Cats make everything better. Or worse. Really depends.

Ok, really, honestly, body, What The Fuck? I mostly prefer to sleep on my right side. However, for some reason, today my nose is significantly more congested when I lie on my right side, significantly less when I lie on my left. So for the past hour or two, I've been alternating between being able to breathe and being comfortable. I have not, unfortunately, been able to sleep. Something else very consistent over time: when I'm sick, my sleep cycle does even weirder things than usual.

So tired of being sick. So motherfucking tired.

Made it through work. Feeling a little better. Fever down. Cat to vet, now has no stitches. Sleep schedule completely fucked. *sigh* Maybe I can sleep _now_? Please? Pretty please?
