Breathing again. Even lying down. Lungs appear resigned to their location and fate. Have had much, much sleep, most of it uninterrupted by deep, hacking coughing. Am, in fact, feeling pretty chipper just at the moment. Of course, I've only been awake for a half an hour or so. But, there. Betterer. Yay.

Forgot to mention theory that straight alcohol might help the cough thing (which is why that syrup supposedly got taken off the market in IL).
