According to Patrick who follows these things rather more closely than I do, Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing" should be out in Minneapolis soon. (He lives in NYC. He, of course, has already seen it.) How does one find out exactly when, and where? I have no idea how one does these things. Also, Patrick seemed to think it would be out here probably the weekend of Fourth Street. I so passionately want to see this. Is there any possible interest in a Fourth Street outing, if that's when its out?

I have a friend in town for Fourth Street. If she wants to see if before/during/after the con, I'm in. Otherwise, I'm in for the week(end) after the con. I forget when your work days look like.

I suspect that people who want to leave a con to watch a movie will be few.

I am free from Wednesday evening through Sunday early morning. Let's see what develops.

FYI, "Much Ado About Nothing" will be showing at the Uptown Theatre starting Friday, June 21st. No word about showtimes yet. Check the Landmark Theatres web site for more info.

_Thank you_.

How did you do that?

Just a lucky guess that it would be one of the Landmark Theatres in town that would first show it. I'm pretty sure Erin would like to see it and maybe after we're through with role-playing at Scott Raun's on Sunday the 23rd we could head over to the Uptown to see it in the early evening.

A good guess. We saw it last Friday at a Landmark Theatre on Houston Street in NYC.

I want to see it, but would rather not do so during Fourth Street proper. Wednesday would be ideal.

Definitely want/plan to see it, but would prefer to wait until after 4th Street, since I live in town. And now that I'm retired, I can go to a weekday matinee!

I am definitely not going to leave Fourth Street to see a movie, even this one.

I'm also tempted to wait til it comes to the Riverview, but might be in the minority here.

Is it likely to make it to the Riverview? Granted, the Twin Cities are more likely to support a movie like this, but everywhere else I've lived, this would be a one week special and then be gone from everywhere.

This is precisely my concern. But its sounding like the Wednesday after Fourth Street might work for people, and I don't work Wednesdays, so it works for me, too.

Depending on how late the movie is, I may or may not be able to go, as I will be working with a client that day and travel will take some time. However, I don't need to see it with the group. If I can make it, I will.
