There's one other thing that is really bothering me about Louie's post in response to Nate's post in nate_bucklin. She says that I criticized Nate's behavior in a post which has since been deleted. Since the post has been deleted, no one can see what I wrote, and so she can say pretty much anything she wants to, but that doesn't make it true.

Specifically, I criticized Louie's projected behavior, and told Nate that it was neither kind nor appropriate to enable Louie to behave in such an uncivilized fashion. In the event, they didn't follow through on their bizarre plan, most likely because of something someone else said, and not me. Which is fine. What I really was concerned about was that a social venue which is important to me not be turned into a war zone, which it wasn't. So, mission accomplished.

However, Louie is implying that I somehow endorse her claims that Nate batters her, and that I told him so on his LJ. This is entirely untrue.

If anyone is deeply curious, I do have a copy of what I wrote, and can send it to you. But honestly, it's all water under the dam. The issue about which I am currently concerned is that she is misrepresenting what I wrote. I dislike this in the extreme.

You still haven't learned to read what you wrote before you post it. I find that so amusing; you are perpetually confused about what you have said in past posts. Why is that Lydy? All those words; such a waste of verbiage. Saying stuff doesn't make that stuff true or correct. Your long screeds on relationships . I suspect people are impressed just by the amount of words you put into those posts. I have a better name for it than wisdom; pretense and logorhea.

Not only did I read but I re-read what I wrote. I am actually reasonably proud of it. I think it was focused, and made a cogent argument about why it the plan as I understood it was a bad idea and crossed the lines both of good taste and courtesy. Would you like me to repost it here, so we can argue the details? No, of course not. You are incapable of engaging with the actual text. Which is why you have banned me from your journal, and why you can only argue in generalities. Indeed, your inability to deal with actual text is why you find no value in LJ, which of course is a text-based environment. Perfectly nice people of good intelligence and good will do not necessarily deal with text as well as personal interaction. But to blame the medium for your inability to constructively engage in it is a case of the workman blaming her tools.

Please be aware, I will republish any comments you make in my LJ if you then delete them. As I have said, I intensely dislike deleting portions of an on-going conversation. I find that it warps things, not to mention allowing people to make fanciful claims about what other people have said.

Have the courage of your convictions Louie. If you post something, don't delete it again. As you so often tell me, think about what you have written before you post it.

Sure. I actually vastly dislike people posting and then deleting things. It warps the conversation in unpleasant ways, which of course is part of why I was making my own posts. Below, Louie's two deleted posts:

I will use this 'tool' anyway I like., including deleting or changing my posts as it pleases me.

Yes, I have had enough of this kind of crap; now that the old crap has hit the fan(s) and passed through, it will remain staining the walls of the wasteland that passes for 'a place for people to exchange ideas and information.'

It was Nate's idea to show the photos at that meeting; also his mistake to write what he did about it. He had to ask me to delete because he's an utter ignoramus.
