We'll see if this damn pie came out. What's the worst it can be, really? Almost anything is edible if you put enough whipped cream on it, surely? (I'm pretty sure the damn thing has exactly zero structural integrity. In between the pie dough being rather worse behaved that even usual, and I'm pretty sure I got the proportions wrong for the blueberry mix, all in all, I think I should have made a crumble.
Well, it all came out just fine. It actually baked up, held together, the filling wasn't a soupy mess, and it tasted fine. I forgot both the lemon juice and the butter. Oh, well. I don't like lemon in sweets, anyway. I did add some Creme de Cassis, which I think definitely enhanced the flavor. All happy, now.

But, whipped cream.

Date: 2014-03-29 05:57 pm (UTC)I would probably say that master bakers don't end up with pie crust all over the floor ANY MORE, but they sure did at some point.
P.
Of course they do
