Thanks everyone for well-wishes. I'm much, much better. There are still about a gazillion unresolved issues, but I'm not violently ill nor locked in a mad house. Gotta say, that's a huge improvement.

Oh, I forgot to mention one other comparison that struck me between the loony bin and food poisoning: They don't make you drink Gatorade in the loony bin.

Yes, unless it's red. Red gatorade, which is what was brought to me on my sickbed, still tastes like that horrible fake cherry flavor that they used in the cough syrups of my childhood. Mind, it claims to be flavored like fruit punch. But all Gatorade lies.

Orange, not so bad. Oddly, Ice Tea tastes pretty darn good if you're in need of Gatorade. The rest of the time, well, water with vinegar and a bit of sugar is really pretty effective if you're worried about not being able to be able to stay hydrated on just the water.
