The polyp came back benign. They say removing it may prevent future cancer, and I have no idea what that actually means, but still. No cancer. We like that a lot.

What that actually means is that polyps can become malignant over time. If they hadn't taken that polyp out and had noted it and taken it out next year (or whenever--I don't know anything about the timing), they might not have had the same result. That's why they take them out.

Just don't have a heart attack when the bill arrives. That little procedure moves it from preventative to therapeutic, and that made my checkbook hurt a whole lot more, or at least it did mine (mumble) years ago.
