Again? WTF?

lydySo, I was completely, and I do mean completely recovered from my most recent bout of the flu. So why in the name of all that's holy did I start coughing again at about midnight last night? And why have the coughs been getting worse? Deep, tearing coughs, long series of them that make my stomach hurt. Ah, the sweet, sweet memories of childhood. (I got very, very good at getting up in the dark, running downstairs to the bathroom, and throwing up. I did it a lot. I was too little to reach the pull chain for the light, so this was all in the dark.)
I give up. I took the fucking cough syrup before I went to bed. It kinda worked for an hour or so. At about 1:00 I woke up again with a series of racking coughs. I took two ACC, which have between them 16 mg of coediene. Hopefully, that will allow me to go back to sleep. And I have an appointment at my clinic tomorrow after work. I'm going to try to get them to write me a prescription for a cough syrup with coediene in it. Gods all mighty, but I hate cough syrup. But I hate coughing even more. Lots and lots more.
So fucking tired.
